The Weekend

David and I have started trading date night babysitting with some of our friends, and it has been a lot of fun so far.  Last weekend we got to hang out with their cool kiddos doing sidewalk chalk and making fruit nachos, and this weekend, we got to go to dinner and a concert...baby free! :)

We went to Pizza Pie Cafe.  Yum.

And then we went to the Piano Guys concert.  It was sold out two nights in a row!  Crazy!

On Saturday, we ran a 5K, and David was in the top three finishers.  Go David!

We headed down to Utah Saturday afternoon and spent the rest of the weekend with David's family.  It was so fun to actually see what spring is supposed to look like.  Happy Mother's Day to all our moms and sisters! 

I think my favorite part of the weekend however, was the cute gift I got from Hyram and Daddy.  I found this letter with an iTunes gift card with breakfast:

Six Months

We've been a happy little family for a whole six months now.  This was our first attempt at family pictures, and it was not exactly a success.  It turns out that trying to take pictures with your child is much more difficult that taking pictures of your child.  Who knew?  The lovely Rexburg wind didn't help much either.  This picture summarizes the experience as a whole pretty well:

Garet was a good sport though, and attempted to capture a few photo-worthy moments.

Here are the few decent ones from this little adventure.  We get to see the more serious side of Hyram in these. :)

Frontier Pie

This weekend we had a little family outing to Frontier Pie.  A reward for doing a 5k?  Probably not.  David and I ate way too much...and loved it!  We both got steak and cornbread.  Yum!  Hyram had fun chillin' in his car seat, but unfortunately went home in his PJs because he let loose a little too much...maybe it's time to move up a diaper size. ;)  Fun weekend.

My Funny Valentine

Happy Valentine's day!  It has been a fantastic day full of fun adventures for me and Mr. Hyram.  I love how much more interactive he is.  His personality comes out more and more every day. :)

David is so sweet to always bring me beautiful flowers!

Both grandmas were on the same page this Valentine's day.  Grandma Telford sent this cute bib in a package yesterday... 

...and Grandma Love brought this cute shirt when she came to visit last week!  Hahaha!
